In 2010-2011 program each participant
school has been planned and implemented a Summer School project. In July a free
mode language teaching courses are continued for pre-formed groups of Azeri and
Armenian students. Courses include excursion, games, different kind of events.

teachers and 84 students visited Kechxobi (Georgian mountain village) In July 2011,
were teachers with different interactive methods (sports and fitness exercises,
games, competitions) where teaching Georgian to Azeri and Armenian children. Summer
School Project was organized in 2010 as well In Atskhuri (Georgian mountain
village), but with only 50 participants.
There were
Azeri, Armenian and Georgian in Summer School; there communicative language was
only Georgian, that helps to activate children's passive knowledge (mostly the
only person from who students hear Georgian is Georgian language teacher i.e.
program participant teacher) and was very effective. Meanwhile Summer School
was the good chance to enjoy summer holidays with friends and teachers that is
also was to the best advantage for those who do not have the opportunity to
spend the summer in a healthy and good atmosphere. A big concert was organized
in Kechkhobi were Georgian, Azeri and Armenian songs and dances were performed;
the evening culmination was fashion show and banquet, where all 84 pupils and
16 teachers were participated.
Summer School was demonstration of intercultural relations and integration of
ethnic minorities in Georgian society. |
