Ethnic minority teachers’ professional Development Print E-mail

In the framework of the grant agreement signed between the National Center for Teacher Professional Development and UNICEF the program Georgian Language for Future Success is also implementing the project “Improved Teaching and Learning for Social Inclusion of Ethnic Minority Children”. 

Aiming at social integration of national minorities two training modules (New Methods of Teaching Georgian Language and Modern Methods of Teaching in Non-Georgian Language Public Schools) were planned for non-Georgian language schools’ teachers and directors and training materials were created and published within the framework of the project. The module focuses on the development of non-Georgian public schools,  emphasizes the importance of management of teaching process and vocational development, system of accountability and relationships with parents and society.

In the framework of the project on September 23-24 the training in Introduction of New Methodology of Teaching Georgian Language for Georgian language teachers of non-Georgian schools was conducted at Z. Zhvania School of Public Administration.  96 Georgian Language Teachers of non-Georgian language schools from Samtskhe-Javakxeti region (38 teachers), Kvemo Kartli region (53 teachers) and Kakheti region (5 teachers) were invited to participate in the workshop.
