Program “Pestalozzi” Training modules, Seminars and European workshops Print E-mail

Program comprises three main areas of activity:(i) European Workshops organised in the Member States -  About 15-20 European workshops of a duration of 3-5 days are organised every year. The themes of these workshops are closely linked to priority concerns and projects of the Council of Europe in particular in the field of education. Other European Workshops may be added to this list during the year.

(ii) European Seminars organised at the Academy of Bad Wildbad  - European Seminars are held at the Academy of Bad Wildbad every year. These seminars are organised with the support of and in close cooperation with the authorities of Baden-Württemberg (Germany).Since autumn 2009, European Seminars are also held in Oslo. They are organised with the support of and in close cooperation with the European Wergeland Centre in Oslo (Norway).

(iii) European Modules for trainer training - The European Module Series are directed at trainers working in the field of education and wishing to improve their knowledge and to develop their skills in the priority fields of the Council of Europe, namely, democracy, human rights and the rule of law. The modules offer a unique experience in a stimulating international environment, which gathers trainers coming from across Europe and beyond.

The training includes 5 phases at the end of which the participants will be invited to submit a proposal of educational training materials that they will have designed, tested and improved throughout the course. Participants are expected to invest about 120-150 hours to accomplish the training, which is spread over 12 to 18 months.
