One of the goals of the Educational reform is to create such educational programs for the future generations, that will enable students to assimilate and incorporate modern technologies, and in accordance with the new requirements, implies teachers' professional development and provision of technology enriched teaching environment.
The use of Information and Communications Technologies in the teaching process of natural sciences is very essential. Especially in those schools where there is no proper technical equipment and infrastructure. According to President's initiative, starting off from new academic year teachers will be able to enhance and make lessons more interesting by integrating virtual laboratories into their teaching environment.
Teachers trained by National Center for Teachers' Professional Development will use contemporary teaching methods for different subjects in their schools, and afterwards based on the experience gained from the pilot schools, general recommendations will be developed for public schools regarding the establishment of Information and Communications Technologies.
Training program on the subject of virtual laboratories will be conducted nationwide for all of the public school's Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics teachers. A total of 6,312 teachers will be trained.
Demo video lessons for virtual laboratories will be placed on the website of National Center for Teacher Professional Development.
